Transaction is a catch-all term for any employee request processed through the payroll. This includes leave, timekeeping as well as loans and expenses.
Leave
The Payroll Admin Console provides both managers and employees with a powerful and user-friendly online portal to manage their day to day HR activities.
With the leave module, a manager can view and manage leave transactions as well as view and edit leave balances.
By default, the manager sees all transactions for the current payroll period. However, should the manager wish, they can view leave transactions that were rejected and/or processed in previous payroll periods.
For example, this might be an employee request for annual leave which the manager approves. Once done, the request will move to the administrator console under the Transaction tab. At the point at which the payroll run is processed, the leave request will also be addressed in the employee payout.
Open ended leave
Depending on how the leave regulation has been set up, an open ended leave (leave with no end date) can be either added manually or triggered when an employee’s status is changed (from active to inactive and vice versa). However, open ended leave can only be created for leave types that do not have a balance.

Managers can track and edit an employee’s leave balance per leave type (annual leave, sick leave, unpaid leave, maternity leave etc). By default, leave balances are displayed showing the current open payroll period but managers are able to navigate between payroll periods.

Loans and expenses
The administrator is able to easily manage employee loans and advances, address reimbursement requests, review supporting documents that have been uploaded and maintain complete oversight over recoveries.
