The problem it solves: Two friction points in pay-element handling. When an employee’s tax card changed, resetting a cumulative pay element (such as the taxable-earnings tracker) to zero could only be done in Back Office β PAC wouldn’t accept a zero value, forcing a round-trip. And when a pay-element import rounded an amount to a country’s decimal rules, nothing on screen told you it had happened, so adjustments were invisible.
What we built: Two improvements. You can now set a cumulative pay element to zero directly in PAC when a tax card changes β no Back Office round-trip. And imports now surface rounding clearly: whenever an amount is adjusted to comply with country decimal rules, the import result shows the message “Amount automatically rounded to comply with country decimal regulations,” across new-employee import, batch payroll inputs and continuous-payroll import.
What this means for your team
Fewer Back Office trips
reset a cumulative element to zero in PAC yourself when a tax card changes
No silent adjustments
see exactly when and where an imported amount was rounded
Confidence across import types
the rounding message appears consistently for new-employee, batch and continuous-payroll imports
How it works
Reset a cumulative element to zero in PAC
In PAC, set the cumulative pay element (for example the taxable-earnings tracker) to zero directly when a tax card changes. The zero value is accepted in PAC β no Back Office step required.
See when an import rounded an amount
When an imported amount is rounded to a country’s decimal rules, the import result displays the rounding message so you can see which amount was adjusted and why. This applies to new-employee import, batch payroll inputs and continuous-payroll import.
